Attend the Great British Pub Awards
The Great British Pub Awards mark an opportunity to celebrate our fantastic industry and your individual pub's successes with the whole team. 2022 will see a return to the classic live format, with some added ‘pizzazz’ thrown in - introducing The Great British Pub Festival & Awards!
This year's event will be held at Escape to Freight Island, Manchester on Tuesday 4 October 2022.
Not content with just bringing back the larger live event, we want to educate and inspire pub teams as well as provide an evening of glamour and fun. We’ll therefore be kicking things off a little earlier in the afternoon to deliver unique pub-focussed masterclasses for the whole team to enjoy. This year we will be moving away from the more traditional sit-down awards, as we look to give you something a bit different with the vibrant and party atmosphere generated by the festival-related theme.
As the sun goes down, Escape to Freight Island will transition into an eclectic, vibrant space for celebration and a lively party atmosphere where the evening’s awards ceremony will get underway.
All tickets include:
- A series of insightful pub-related talks and entertainment on the main stage throughout the day, starting off educational and inspirational but transitioning into some more light-hearted fun as the evening progresses (think disruptor sessions, pub trade giant talks, pub quiz, stand-up comedy…)
- Unique pub-focussed masterclasses for the whole team to enjoy (including wine tasting, cocktail making, BBQ masterclass)
- Awards ceremony hosted by celebrity talent (TBA soon)
- A wide variety of unlimited alcoholic and soft drinks courtesy of our awards partners
- Wristband that entitles you to evening food of your choice at our street food vendors
- A selection of snacks and sweet treats available throughout the day
- A fun and vibrant carnival atmosphere with live music, DJ and a whole host of extra surprises!
2:00 PM – Main stage starts
7:00 PM – Awards ceremony
10:00 PM – Carriages

In the 4 weeks after opening, we finished 50% up on sales compared with the same period in 2019, demonstrating the impact this investment had on the business."
