2026’s exciting awards ceremony lit up the First Direct Bank Arena in Leeds on 23 September, with the celebration streamed live into pubs and homes across the UK. From start to finish, it was a magical evening, as pubs competing across 17 different categories were crowned winners, with each one earning their moment in the spotlight.

The triumphant celebration of the pub sector, hosted by comedian Suzi Ruffell, saw The Tamworth Tap take home top honours as the winner of Best Beer Pub and overall Great British Pub of the Year. The Tamworth Tap impressed judges with its extensive and high-quality drinks offer including eight cask ales, 20 keg lines and a number of bag-in-box ciders alongside a strong bottled and canned selection as well as a premium wine list.
Ed Bedington, editor of The Morning Advertiser, which organises the awards, said: “At a time when running a pub is more challenging than ever, it is hugely important we celebrate the people and businesses continuing to invest, innovate and create places that matter to their customers and communities.”
